About DRRA
Founded in 1996, the Disabled Rehabilitation and Research Association (DRRA) is one of the largest non-government organizations in Bangladesh working for persons with disabilities and destitute communities.

Building a society where persons with disabilities and the destitute can enjoy a dignified life with equity.
What we do
- Inclusive Health & Rehabilitation — 10 rehabilitation units, community-based services for 10,000 individuals annually
- Quality Education & Lifelong Learning — 5,000 students through 100 mainstream and 4 special schools
- Inclusive Economic Growth — vocational training for 200 young adults annually
- Climate & Humanitarian Action — response and resilience programs across 38 districts, 54 upazilas
- Knowledge Management & Innovation — research and documentation for disability-inclusive development
Governance
DRRA is registered under the Department of Social Services and the NGO Affairs Bureau (Registration No. 1209). Governance is two-tiered: a General Body of 21 professionals and a 7-member Executive Committee, plus an Advisory Committee for innovation and quality implementation.
Recognition
Awarded twice nationally by the Government of Bangladesh as a beacon of inclusivity.
